These are my favorite name plates for first grade.

This is my favorite name plate. I group my kids and rather than numbering them I trace one of the shapes and then have rhombuses or hexagons, etc. pass out papers or such at their group, be the first to share in a round robin - you get the idea. We use the name plates for more than just names.

I am looking forward to using these name tags, my students will have the tools at their hands that they will need. They will be able to solve math problems, recognize lower and uppercase letters, shapes and right and left. I bought both the traditional and modern letters because I was not sure which letter style the school uses. I like the modern letter style because it prepares them to learn cursive writing if and when it is taught.

I use these every year for my third graders.

I bought these nametags for my second grade students last year. First, they lasted the entire year and I didn't have to replace them. Also, the nametags have so much significant information on them, the students use them every day...ruler, number grid, alphabet, etc... I plan on using these nametags from now on!
