These are such a handy reference tool to have for the students. Like that the 3-D shapes are on there and that the number chart goes to 120. I would like to see color words add and perhaps take off addition chart because they could add on the number line at the top.

These are my favorite name plates for first grade.

This is my favorite name plate. I group my kids and rather than numbering them I trace one of the shapes and then have rhombuses or hexagons, etc. pass out papers or such at their group, be the first to share in a round robin - you get the idea. We use the name plates for more than just names.

They took off the addition chart/table and added "color" words. I would recommend it, because I can't find any other I like better.

I am looking forward to using these name tags, my students will have the tools at their hands that they will need. They will be able to solve math problems, recognize lower and uppercase letters, shapes and right and left. I bought both the traditional and modern letters because I was not sure which letter style the school uses. I like the modern letter style because it prepares them to learn cursive writing if and when it is taught.
