I got this for my son to help him with his writing skills. He can work on this by himself and see how he does. The letters are written nice and large so it works well for him. I like that it has the second side that works on pen control as well. Quality board.

I teach second grade, and I bought three of these to support my struggling writers. It helps develop their fine motor skills, and it's self-checking, so students can see how they're doing independently. My students of all skill levels love this board and ask to use it! They love the squiggly lines on the back and the alphabet. I require them to do both, especially those who need fine motor development. 10/10 would recommend. Lakeshore, please make a cursive version!

This is okay, but the letters are a little small for someone just learning to write. Maybe if this came in the jumbo size I could use it, but for now it's going into storage for later.

I use these boards with a kindergarten intervention group. Some of these students are struggling to write their names or other words due to poor fine motor skills. They are so excited when I bring these boards out! They are very engaged and I should have bought more! Thank you so much.

The line side is awesome because learners can practice the line and loop skills they will need for the letters. Having the ability to trace right at their table or on the go is also nice. Easy to wipe. I'd recommend this even if just for practicing. My learner loves it.
