The guide replaces the original SEACO Core Content Access Guide. Focused on students with the most significant disabilities, this new version is intended to help educators more easily navigate and align goals and strategies to the current State Standards. It was developed by a committee of highly experienced California special education professionals.
Some of the guide’s features and highlights include:
• A user-friendly format that clearly connects access points, or functional skills, to State Standards
• Sample goals for each access point, which can be used or tailored as needed
• Suggested strategies for engagement to assist in helping students meet goals and access State Standards
And with this version, the guide has gone digital, making it easier to search the material! The flash drive includes the entire 600-plus-page document.
