Blocks are smooth, quality pieces. Cards have adequate variety for differentiation. Purchased the extra set for creativity.

The blue prints are durable and are amazing. Students love to explore and imitate the picture to build that structure. Love

I love that this set has 3 levels of difficulty. My 4-5 year olds start at the easiest level and ask for harder! This is a great activity with a small group, but I highly recommend purchasing additional blocks. Otherwise, you can only have two students at one time.

I love the skills in following a blue print to build. This kit coincides with my curriculum, and my students like to pretend to be engineers and construction workers.

I am pleased that this product has various degrees of difficulty, since some of my students have stronger spatial skills than others. Everyone can have a hand in this.

My 8 year old found this very engaging and could work independently. May need some assistance in young grades, but would be a great small group STEM activity.

My kids just play with the wooden blocks but not the ideas laid out on the papers. I feel like I paid a bunch if $$ for about 40 wooden blocks.

It is used as an introduction to architecture and building structures. It also encourages conversations about how buildings are designed. Also exposures young children to careers related to designing and planning, and creating structures.

I have two sets of these blocks and I use them with a small group. My students love to work together to figure out how the blocks should appear in the blueprint design, and these blocks also inspire new creations with other manipulatives. I would suggest that you mark the blocks with a shape in order to keep the sets separate and easy to get the complete set back together. I highly recommend them!

This set of blocks is igreat for developing spatial awareness skills, and in learning to think in 3-D. I do recommend an adult “partner” w/the child. I have used this w/our almost 6 year old grandson, and he seems to really enjoy building the designs on the laminated pattern cards.
