My 3 year old grandson loved this scale! Funny, the adults wanted to try it too. Thanks for a fun learning toy!

The clear buckets make it easy to fill the scale and see what's inside. However, the buckets are too close to the table surface to allow for the display of dramatic weight differences. Not very exciting for children to observe.

This toy is very sturdy! It gets used a lot by all the age groups in my daycare. The containers on the ends, that you put the thing you are going to compare in, those come off the apparatus very easily which the younger kids found harder to manage but they are easy to put back on with a little bit if patience so it is a learning toy also. It is easy to clean, and very light to carry around.

My 4 yr old loves to mix and match objects and water to level it out.

Does exactly what it needs to do without being overly complicated. Easy for kids to use. Love it!

Having been an elementary school teacher, I chose Lakeshore to purchase a scale for my grandson. I am very pleased with the quality of it as well as the speed of delivery. Lakeshore is a top notch company.

My 5 year old loves experimenting with different objects and liquids to explore weight and be a scientist. This is durable and the cups can be taken on/off easily with little adult supervision. Its easy to see if it balances.

Both the kids, ages 3 and 6 like this a lot. They also have one at their school and were pleased to have it at home. They especially like to measure strange items, and their snacks to be sure they are getting equal amounts! The clear buckets are a great idea...you can see what you are weighing.

My students prefer using this clear bucket balance when comparing objects. It is made well and it was a good purchase.

I had a 8 yr old come to visit. He was balancing everything...if he could reach it and it fit in the bucket he used it.
