Absolutely loving the quality of this set!! My budding scientist feels like the real deal, and the learning oppotunities are endless.

This microscope is for my eight year old grandson as a gift. I haven't given the gift yet so It's hard to review it. But it looks like he will really like it as he is into science currently, which I hope will last him a lifetime.

While my granddaughter (9) had a great time finding things to look at under this microscope, it would have been much more useful and educational if the kit had included suggestions on how to use the items included. For example, the petri dish can be used to grow bacteria, but there was no explanation of how to go about it. The kit includes a micro-hatchery but no explanation of how to use it. The microscope is of good quality and there are a lot of tools included. I just think it could have been so much better with a book showing things to do with the items included.

My Granddaughter saw a microscope in one of her cousins classroom and saw one in Lakeshore catalog. She had been exploring and finds items to study. It is sturdy and has very good resolution which allows clear sight of what ever is being studied. Using it is very easy and gives a little scientist a great learning experience. It is a great for way to get parents involved and hours of enjoyment for both child and parent.

This Junior Scientists Microscope Kit appears to be just the thing for my soon to be 9 yr. old grandson. It is well made and has excellent magnification. This will be one Christmas present he will be thrilled to get.
