It's great like one of many X-mas gifts

This is definitely for younger kids K-2 probably K-1 as far as if you just put this in a center for a kid to explore. I doubt they'd be there long, which makes this not worth the price. However, you can create custom tasks and math, science, reading, and language problems to go with this, so that it's a center that lasts 15 minutes or longer. The box is about 6'' long, so all the skulls and things are super small. If you want this to be a center, I'd have them research items on here. I'm going to put a food chain and web problem for science and math review problems. I had planned on using the picture info cards to make comprehension questions, but the paragraph is soooo easy/basic for a First grader. Disappointed at that. I bought 3 of the boxes and pretty much the same thing. Somewhat disappointed, but we'll see. Oh, my sea starfish in the sea kit came broken, but I saw a bunch at the craft store, so no big...
