This dino egg kit was very doable for my 4 year old to break on his own. However, the color of the egg stained the tray he was working on red so I'd give those who are interested in purchasing a head's up to cover your work surface. The kit comes with one dinosaur and one nice thing is the top of the box indicates which of the 6 possible types is included in the egg so you can know ahead of time which one you're getting and choose if you like.

My granddaughter loved doing this! She was so enthusiastic to reveal the type and color of the dinosaur.
