The fine motor skills of this are fabulous. Getting the Velcro apart can be part of the challenge, depending on child's age/dexterity. What really impresses me about this toy is that the 'knives' cut the fruit and vegetables perfectly. I didn't think it would be that smooth/cool! My son loves it. I'm supervising him with it as he's younger than the intended age group, but he really enjoys trying to pull the fruit and veggies apart. I think my only small criticism would be that the pineapple is pretty small. The fruits and veggies are not to scale for obvious reasons, but the pineapple does stand out as being particularly small. The orange is the most fabulous of them. If has four 'shell' pieces and four sections inside the shells. The banana has peel, too. It is really, really wonderful. The Velcro attaches very smartly to help guide the kids in how the pieces fit back together, too. The basket is well made and this is something I would recommend to anyone wanting a make-believe grocery set that they can later use to teach basic fractions (especially 'halving').
The kids just love playing with these fruits and veggies. They have so much fun cutting them apart and putting them back together. The product has lasted for years of pretend eating playtime.

I just received the Fruit and Vegetable Cut-Ups that I recently ordered for open play area in the library. The children are enjoying the entire basket and how they can peel and cut the fruit and vegetables. The quality is great, and the added details are fun for the kids. Highly recommend this product.
My grandchildren love this set. Great addition to our play kitchen. Quality is great and pieces are fun and colorful.
I got these to replace the kitchen food that I have. This is really good quality. My kids love playing with this food. The orange is the only one that has a hard time staying together. And it's only in the orange peel. The orange inside pieces stay together fine. Still with your money so don't hesitate, definitely but this one.
Play food for toddlers, introduces fraction math concepts and helps with developing social and fine motor skills through pretend play; Promotes social development, while learning about healthy eating (fruits and vegetables). Great imaginative play. Encourages hand-eye coordination and creativity.
This product is incredibly popular at my library, so much so, that we purchased a second set, and I opted to buy one for my nephew! The food pieces are very sturdy and very fun to play with!

My daughter loves the different fruits and vegetables. The quality is great. The basket helps keep things organized. I use it to teach her the names of different things and colors. Keeps her busy for many minutes on end!
Gave this to my 18 month old Grandson. A little hard for him to cut, but he loved trying and playing with the veggies and fruits. Safe if they go into their mouth. Good purchase. Nice sturdy basket to put things away.
