I’ve used Lakeshore water tables for years. They have always been sturdy and wonderful. This one however, was going to be used for something different. We have a carnivorous plant garden. They are bog creatures, that need to sit in water. We tried other ways to have them in water that kind of worked. Thinking back on my Lakeshore water tables, I had an idea, let’s use one of those! The Lakeshore water table was the perfect option. We have room for many more plants and it looks totally natural for them. The water level is perfect and stable. We did drill holes in the lid, to put the pots in to hold them steady. All in all, it was the best solution. so remember when you look at something think outside the box.

We have 7 classrooms and a hodge lodge of sand and water tables and this one is by far my favorite! Great quality, great size, and the colors are perfect for our earth tones palette.

The item description is incorrect. It is described as tough. The liner and cover are very thin and flimsy. The cover has already warped after two weeks.

I was so excited when my school ordered this for my class this fall. I am sad to report that I have only used it a handful of times for it's intended purpose, sand and water play, as the plug is easily, intentionally pulled out by young children exploring or just thinking it is fun to pull. It will also come out if it is bumped into as children are playing/digging in the sand. It is not flush with the bottom of the bin and therefore is constantly being hit and coming out. I am disappointed to say that I now only use it for items that can't come out the drain. No water, no sand, no rice or beans, etc.
