I was hoping the kids could fish for these and then put them up on a magnetic board to make words or match letters. Unfortunately the letters will only stick to another magnet, not metal surfaces.

The magnets in the fishing poles are not strong enough to pick up the letters. The packaging says that it can be used in or out of water. We did not try to use them in water so maybe that would have helped but they really do no work in an out of water application.

I great way for your students to have fun while learning their alphabets. Why not have fun fishing for alphabets in the sand and water!

My students love to go fishing for letters. At the beginning of the year, I had them fish for a letter, say the letter, and think of a word that started with that letter. By the end of the year, my students were fishing for letters and spelling words. Great for groups of 5 or less at a time. I bought extra fishing poles and would reccomend getting extra letters.

We love this toy, it is a hit with my kids and their playgroup friends!! So much fun in water or in sand, or just in a sensory bin!! It is really enjoyable and works very well! Great learning!

What a fun activity! I am so excited to let my kid play with this in the bath.

I bought this set without realizing that the letters float in water. How exciting to go fishing for words in the bath! My 4-yr-old loves!
