Red Alcohol Thermometers

I removed the plastic scale indicators and use these thermometers as physical temperature sensors via. green LED source light and photo-diode light detectors.
Because of their small size, these thermometers are perfect for my application and the price was definitely right.

We bought the 12 pack. I think its a good value. We have taken temps outside in the cold and have left them in the fridge. I haven't had one break by use or by child. I think compared to others on market these are great for the younger child.
Yes, I would recommend this product.

I actually got these as part of the Science Discovery Set, but they were, by far, the part we used the most! Very durable and great for little hands! We taped one to the window to explore the outside temp and used them to explore both water and air temperatures inside and outside. A huge hit with the kids!
Yes, I would recommend this product.

These thermometers may be a good value, but they are tiny - only 1" wide! My first graders had a hard time reading them. Also, they are a flimsy plastic material and feel wet (as if made of paper) after being submerged in water.
