This CD player is very well constructed. It’s easy to operate and has good sound. The cost was somewhat higher than similar products, all of which had poor reviews. I purchased this one based on the positive reviews and it was more than well worth it!!

I nice player with good volume and easy controls, but it's really pricey. Also, they don't hold up and stop working quickly when allowed to be used by little hands. There needs to be a way to prevent little fingers from touching the sensitive parts inside.

I would expect more child proofing for a product like this. The battery case has no screws or even a childproof latch so it's very easy for kids to open. The CD player likewise has no latch or locking mechanism for where you insert the CD so kids can open it (damaging CD, Lazer, or mechanism). The sound level can easily be maxed out...again would be nice to offer a max volume limit that only adults can turn off so kids don't blow their ears out. That said... The sound quality is really fantastic and operation is smooth. I like the textured buttons.

I have a son with autism who gets into trouble with electronics. Additionally he tends to break everything within a week. I bought this specifically for durability and because there is no radio. It is plugged in and doesn't need batteries. It is just perfect for what my son needs.

After being gifted 2 of these we purchased another 4 for our elementary classrooms. The children love them and they are able to navigate using them independently! Great for a reading center with books on CD!

After researching and searching for CD players for children I came back to this CD player from Lakeshore. The player is well-constructed, easy to operate, portable (using batteries) or can be plugged in, and has a built-in speaker so can be enjoyed with others. I appreciate that there was no radio component to this player, unlike so many others, so the children can listen to what the parents select for them to listen to. I ended up purchasing three - one for each of our families with grandchildren. I appreciated the discount available on the website!

Works very well for kids as well as the blind and older adults . Recommend it with a Speaker inserted instead of headphones

Love it. Nice sound for a small portable CD player. I love that it has an A/C adapter plus can run on batteries.
