After researching and searching for CD players for children I came back to this CD player from Lakeshore. The player is well-constructed, easy to operate, portable (using batteries) or can be plugged in, and has a built-in speaker so can be enjoyed with others. I appreciate that there was no radio component to this player, unlike so many others, so the children can listen to what the parents select for them to listen to. I ended up purchasing three - one for each of our families with grandchildren. I appreciated the discount available on the website!

Works very well for kids as well as the blind and older adults . Recommend it with a Speaker inserted instead of headphones

Needed a simple machine for someone with low-vision and limited manual dexterity, and this CD player is exactly that. Works well, sound quality is just fine. A bit too expensive, but I was able to get a discount online, and that helped make up my mind. Seems very sturdy, so I'm hoping it will last for many years, which will justify the cost.

Well constructed and easy to use. I bought this CD player to use in my car because my 2021 Toyota did not come with a CD player. The built-in speakers are clear and the volume is loud enough that sometimes I have to turn it down. My CD's do not skip at all. It also comes with a wall plug-in adapter so you don't have to use batteries for home use. Very pleased with my purchase.

Less confusing than their stereo system and great for a home without internet, plus it is portable so they can take it in the bedroom or kitchen and sing along with their favorite songs.

I bought this for my 94 yr ol Mom who listens to audio books as she falls asleep. She missed lot of story so needs to rewind. The buttons are great size and so easy to find. She loves this cute retro looking player.

I was pleased by the light weight and the user friendly operation of this machine. BUT, I hate the smell of it. I don't know if it will be long lasting, but it smells like an electrical burning odor even BEFORE I turned it on. Because the speaker is small, I need to move the machine from one room to the next to hear the music when I go from the dining room to the kitchen.

I really love the simplicity of this machine. I am homeschooling my children and we use it for audio books, specifically living history books. My main issue is the volume. At the loudest volume, we are consistently desiring it to be louder. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase another player with an improved volume level.

Fantastic Investment! Got it on sale. Worth every penny. After teaching my boys (ages 3 and 4) how to properly use it, they listen to almost an hour of audiobooks a day! This is perfect for quiet time as we transition out of naps or while I'm doing dinner prep. The kids love checking out books on cd at the library, as well as different kids music cds.
