great learning tool but less sturdy than I thought

This a great sorting tray for early learners. However based on the solid plastic structure of my previously purchased Lakeshore products including bins I did expect this tray to be more sturdy. The plastic sides seem like they could be cracked very easily. The counting tray has the same construction. I will still enjoy teaching with this product but I wish it was a bit heavier and stronger.
