This is perfect to help children understand the difference between 2D and 3D shapes.

My kids beg to do these daily! They love the way they can even add extra pieces to do even more things than what the card shows them. They are excited and engaged. I would have given five stars but some of the sticks have broken off inside the connector balls already in just six weeks time. That is disappointing.

Love watching the children build 3D shapes.

I ordered 2 sets of these for my kindergarten classroom and the kids LOVE them. I was a little concerned that they may not be able assemble the shapes due to some previous reviews, but they are having no problems at all. Great way to get more hands on learning!

My daughters are 8 and 9 and love making shapes with this set. When they started working on 3D geometric shape in school they came home and took out the kit and made shapes to take to school with them. The teacher was so impressed with their knowledge that the received in class and from home that they received extra credit for the homework assignment. WE still refer back to the kit when they sometime forget about vertex and angels. Trust me its a fun kit even if your child isn't learning about these shapes yet in school.

I've used this with second and fourth graders; they love it. I've had to limit the amount of time they can choose that center so everyone gets a chance to use the materials.

There aren't enough pieces for more than 3 kids to play though. This was popular during structured play (on rainy days when we couldnt go out for recess). I never used it during instruction.

This product is basically an expensive version of what you could do with toothpicks and clay/playdough or even with pretzel sticks and gum drops. The activity cards are nothing special and tell students simply to make each 2-D and 3-D shape. My 1st and 2nd grade students were excited to use the kit and connect the sticks, but many of them soon became frustrated because it is difficult to fit the sticks into the connector balls in a way that will make a hexagon or triangle as pictured on the activity card. It was also VERY difficult to take the shapes apart once you build them and I am concerned that some of the sticks will soon brake as a result. I would recommend spending your money on other products that are more kid-friendly.
