Place Value Activity Kit

As a retired teacher who is now working with my grandchild at home, I was excited to order this kit. I used these blocks in my classroom several years ago. The parts to the kit are durable and easy to handle. I like the bright colors, too!

Too few tens and hundreds pieces

I wanted to use these blocks to help my 7 year olds add double and triple digit numbers. There are only 10 tens bars and 10 hundreds squares. This makes it impossible to add numbers and exchange, for instance 72 + 65 or 456+ 567. I am disappointed.

Great manipulative for teaching place value

Item arrived very quickly. It has been a great tool in teaching place value to our first grader in a homeschool setting. I love lakeshore. They always ship quickly, products arrive packaged nicely and prices are good.

Place Value Activity Kit

This was affordable and great ! My granddaughter has a set at her house in Houston and I have my set at home so I could teach her virtual computer learning. IT was awesome, because it was hands on learning and she was able to grasp concept! I really liked the chart to work with addition and subtraction problems. Thank YOU sooo much !

Too Confusing

This product was too confusing for a first grader learning to regroup in both addition and subtraction. Paper and pencil seems to be easier to understand.

Love these!

We have a few Base 10 block sets, they are one of my favorite math manipulatives- and Lakeshore's set is my favorite! I love that they are multi-color, it really makes a difference and helps the students with the visual. Students love the blocks, they feel like they are playing! I highly recommend! It would be nice to have more tens for larger addition problems, I might pick up a second set!

double the order

You can buy the base ten blocks only which I would recommend for demonstration purposes in a classroom setting. The different colors of each place value helps children to visualize regrouping. I would suggest you order two sets, otherwise you can't represent regrouping. I wish Lakeshore sold the place values separately, so that I could get more 1000's blocks.

As always, Lakeshore is the best

We got this for our homeschooled sons to assist in teaching place value. The kit is compatible with most curricula and is very helpful in providing sensory integration for tactile students.

Well Made

I like this set quite a bit. It is working well for teaching my son addition with regrouping, but it only has ten tens blocks - which is limiting if you get to adding two-digit numbers whose sums exceed 100.
