The children in our 3-year-old class are nuts (pun intended) about this toy and so are the adults. It can be used for counting and patterning but the physical action of the bolts spinning off and on have been most compelling.

My daughter has really enjoyed this activity. She likes making patterns, counting and stacking.

I bought this last year for my 3yr pre-K class. It was a huge hit for the kids. A few kids were able to do it correctly almost immediately, some were able to match the nuts with the numbers on the bolts. I used this set for pattern matching and eventually used removable labels to write the number words for the scaffold levels. I highly recommend the Nuts and Bolts set for many different levels of early childhood development. The aspect of using their hands to screw and unscrew the nuts is very helpful for future writing and helping to strengthen the children’s dexterity and hand strength.

Saw these in the store but did not purchase, but they are large parts to make it easy for kids to play with.

This was a gift for a 4-year-old who is quite Nuts About Counting. His mom said when he saw the gift he said WOW! and played with it all day. Definitely worth the price. Would 100% buy it again.

My students love when I bring these out for small group math work. It is a great way to visually see and count.

Son really enjoyed and played with for quite a while with adding the nuts to the bolts by color and by pattern etc.

My daughter loved these from the start. They are great for counting, finger dexterity and problem solving. My daughter gets bored easily but the she lives watching the different colors spin on the bolts.

Such an engaging way for children to practice counting and leaves no room for error as the screws vary in length based on the number which is perfect for independent play!
