I love the size of the product. However, it slides down my magnetic whiteboard. The magnets are not strong enough to hold it on the board. I am only keeping it because I will still use it for teaching purposes. I may try to add additional magnets. Overall, I’m disappointed considering the price and not living up to the normal Lakeshore quality.

I have an older Lakeshore Giant Magnetic Rekenrek that attaches to my large classroom whiteboard. The new Giant Magnetic Rekenrek did not attach firmly to the whiteboard and slid down the whiteboard. I returned the Giant Magnetic Rekenrek and reordered another one. I hope the second rekenrek will stay attached to my whiteboard and not slide down.

There's something about over-sized, magnetic manipulatives which works so well with kids, and this resource is no different! Good quality, perfect size.

Great for counting and decomposing numbers! Very easy for students who struggle with one to one correspondence.

This product is large and easy to see from students around the carpet/classroom. Product is well made with wooden beads. My only suggestion for improving this product is to make the magnetic backing stronger.

This is thing is AWESOME! It is huge, very sturdy and well built, and best of all, it is magnetic. My kids really love being able to manipulate the giant beads (much more than their individual ones).

The magnetic rekenrek is fantastic for whole group learning. Students can manipulate it and the rest of the class can easily see it. It is very sturdy. Magnets are strong.

This product is big enough to use in front of the whole class. The magnet strips on the back are not very strong so I had to add some of my own. It sticks to my magnetic easel which sits at an angle. However it will not stick to my magnetic whiteboard. It slides to the bottom. It must have something to do with the angle. So I use it when I am teaching smaller groups.

My class loves using this for our warm ups! It is very strong and really stays on the white board with the magnets. Great visual for teaching fluency!

It doesn't work consistently on my magnetic whiteboard. I'm not sure if it's my whiteboard or the magnets on the back of this rekenrek. It's still nicely made and big enough for my kids to see so I really like that aspect of it.

I love everything about this rack. It's sturdy and big enough to be visible to the whole class, and it's magnetic!! I use it every day with kindergarteners to model concepts and skills they are also practicing using a virtual math rack manipulative in a math video game context.
