This manipulative was a life-saver in my 5th grade math class. It perfectly aligns with a model we use to build conceptual understanding of multiplying fractions. But, the kids were taking so long to draw out the model- they were losing the point of the lesson. Having this manipulative allowed me to build the model in an efficient way so they could focus on the learning and not drawing lines. The teacher next door bought a classroom set after!

I highly recommend using these when teaching how to multiply fractions. I used these with a 5th-grade class struggling to understand Multiplying Fractions. These tiles made it understandable where other methods had not. The students were engaged while using them and did well on the assessment, whereas the previous day, the assessment indicated that they weren't understanding the concept. Nice sturdy quality. They could have other uses as well. I am going to buy a set for my teaching team.
