The prompts seem to be mostly about school, I was hoping for more creative ones. If I had purchased in store and flipped through it first, I would not have purchased this.

Our kids who have become averted to writing, love the format and prompts in these writing journals. We find that drawing the picture first makes them want to write the accompanying story. Reading their stories along with the pictures they’ve drawn is a fun family activity.

This writing prompt journal was very helpful for me as a teacher and my students as well. Each page provides an spot for the student to draw a picture, which also provides a prompt for writing. I will definitely purchase these journals again.

My kids absolutely love this journal with the prompts! Before using this product they actually dreaded writing. Now it’s the first thing they ask to do in our homeschooling! They can’t get enough of it, they are asking for the next level. But unfortunately, the next grade level is not structured the same way.

This Writing Prompts Journal is better than other books and downloads I have on the topic, and I have a LOT of books and downloads. This book will get a lot of good use.

My 1st grader enjoys using this book for her writing.
