These durable folders are wonderful for my second grade writers. There is a pocket for each step of the writing process, so my students always know exactly where they left off each time we have our writing period. Their writing stays orgaized in the colorful pockets, from beginning to end, and there is helpful information printed on the outside of the pockets, such as synonyms for overused words. My students and I just love them!

I am a writing coach and teach students in elementary and middle school. We have used the Writing Process Folder in the writer's workshop for the last 2 years with some amazing results. The folder is a great visual reminder of the writing process, and it also helps the students organize their work under appropriate tabs for ease of use. this is a great tool to keep track of my daughter's writing process. she is a little reluctant to write (not her favorite subject) but this is a great way for her to see her progress and to take a little bit of the dread out of writing. since we homeschool, it's a great organizational tool for me, too!

I have used these for two years, and they are wonderful! Not only do they reinforce the writing process, but list writing ideas, overused words, commonly misspelled words, and an editing checklist. My students love them, and I love them! I had to order a second set this year, because last year's group wanted to take them with them! How could I say, "No?"
