Great teaching tool

These are great for beginning of first grade for those students who can never think of what to write. It gives enough support but they are still creating the sentence. They love the choice and I love that they are independently writing.

very good writing tool for my higher learners

It is an excellent book for young writers to create their own stories.

Creative writing was always a chore for my 7 year old son, who also happens to have autism. I was amazed, when once I demonstrated how to use the flip book, how he spent close to a half hour flipping the different visual cards to tell countless funny stories. The flip book gave him a clear scaffolding of a creative short story complete with setting, character, event, and conclusion. This would be a great addition for children who need more support when practicing their writing.

haven't used yet but looks very exciting - seems worth the cost because I've tried every year to print things like this and it never gets done.

This is a little more involved than the "build a paragraph" flip book, which we also own. This requires the child to build their own sentences, but it gives them ideas. Younger kids will need help building a subject, verb, plot, etc..... Older kids can really extend their story to several paragraphs, if they want to! It's a great guide, and we like using it for summer assignments at home.
