Great for new learner

March 31, 2022 - By Kim Downingfrom Monroe, NC

My daughters school recommended flip books such as this to help her put words together. I love the ease and convenience of the book (it’s small enough for her to carry around everywhere).

Yes, I would recommend this product.

Good for a Writing Center

June 28, 2012 - By Moonglowfrom Baltimore, MD

This flip book aligned perfectly with the popular "Burger" organizer. My writing center looked like a restaurant with red and white checked placemats and cutouts of burger parts on paper plates that allowed them to build a dimensional ‘burger’ as they wrote their topic sentence (got their top bun), detail sentences (added the meet and other condiments - one per detail), and put it all together with the bottom bun when they wrote the conclusion. They got to take their (paper) burgers home in a snack baggie – which they loved. I put four flip books in that center and stood them up like they were menus. My students were engaged, couldn’t wait to be in the writing center, and demonstrated excellent writing skills growth. On the inside cover, I taped a picture of a burger bun to the left of the word 'topic', burger fillings (pictures of burger patty, ketchup, mustard, cheese, pickles, onion, mayo) next to the words 'detail', and a bottom bun next to the word 'conclusion'. It worked great for independent (yet visually supported) application and practice of the related skills that were taught. Also allowed for differentiation as they could add additional sentences/details and come up with their own conclusion.

Yes, I would recommend this product.
