activity matching

This game was so much fun. I love that he knew exactly which item went with the correct side. My son who is 4yrs old absolutely loves matching all the items with the correct object. I just wish there was a couple more cards that came with the game.

Excellent for Building Vocabulary Critical Think

The What Goes Together? Activity Box from Lakeshore Learning has been a fantastic addition to my speech therapy toolbox. The set includes sturdy, colorful photo cards that clearly depict everyday objects, making it ideal for teaching associations, categories, and early reasoning skills. I use this resource regularly with elementary students who are working on receptive and expressive language goals. It's especially effective for helping kids identify relationships between items and explain their thinkingskills that are essential for language development. The clear visuals also make it accessible for students with autism, language delays, or limited verbal abilities. The cards lend themselves well to a variety of therapy activities, including sorting, matching, and sentence formulation. I also appreciate how easy it is to differentiatesome students match items with support, while others are prompted to explain why the items go together. Durable, organized, and easy to use right out of the box, this set offers both structure and flexibility. Highly recommended for any SLP or special educator looking to strengthen language skills through engaging, hands-on learning.

Perfect for any kind of hands on activities

You can turn this product into any kind of activity. After sorting what goes together, I got my students to think what sounds each object makes. For example, what sound does a van make? Or what sound does a corn make when you are chewing on it? Then we work on what is the first sound of the objects. Pizza starts with the /p/ sound. I recommend this product.

My students love the hands on materials with this work. The youngest learners can use one card and match the objects while my older students can use 2/3 cards and unscramble the objects to match. It is always a go to work

My now 3 year old loves this game. She matches it over and over again. She is on the spectrum and has a hard time focusing. I purchased this item when she was 2 just starting with 1 card and working our way up to all of them.

Love this!

My three-year-old grandson loves this activity! He plays it over and over. I like how there are instructions on how to 'step up' the learning - especially since it didn't take him long to master the basic steps.
