I'm a speech therapist and I love using this to teach my kids adjectives! The bright colors and magnets make this super fun and engaging.

My fifth-grade newcomers loved this and referred to it as a game. It would be even better if it came with sentence stems or some other way to turn the nouns and adjectives learned into full sentences.

The magnetic descriptive rods are great! I have used them with my speech-language students to target concepts, asking and answering questions, and following directions - they are well made, easy to discern what the picture is, and the task can be modified for every student or group of students. I do wish the set contained the opposites - slow, hard, clean, and short. It would allow the students to compare the pictures and concepts. Lakeshore should make a descriptive set #2 with additional concepts.

I love magnetic manipulatives - they aren't as easily lost as others. I found these descriptive rods to be visually appealing and engaging for my littles. I use these for my students with Developmental Delays. They are great for visual learners.

Our speech therapist was using these so I purchased for home use and my daughter loves them.
