Great books for beginning readers

This set of books gives children confidence when learning to read! These Nonfiction books provide a chance to learn sight words, new concepts and vocabulary as well as broaden their view of the world. As an elementary school librarian, I highly recommend this set of books!

My daughter loves these books

April 09, 2021 - By Perfect beginner booksfrom Houston, TX

I love how easy it is for my 4yr old to catch on to reading these books because of how repetitious the sight words are. The stories are very engaging as well.

Perfect for building confidence

January 26, 2021 - By MJfrom Pensacola, FL

Although these books are pricey, they work. My son is autistic and dyslexic and was struggling with sight words. After the pandemic I was trying to give him something that would motivate him to read. These books helped tremendously! The sight words for the level 1 nonfiction set are: a, and, are, at, by, can, for, go, have, he, I, in, is, it, like, look, me, my, not, on, one, see, she, that, the, they, this, to, was, what, with, you. This is slightly different from the level 1 fiction set which includes the words good, had and his. It does not include the words look, they or what.

Yes, I would recommend this product.

Awesome!

September 25, 2020 - By LizK

We've purchased many, many reader sets for our daughter, but these were a total game changer for her interest in reading. She loves the picture words that go along with the sight words so she can read more interesting books. They are also larger and more sturdy than other sight-word readers. I highly recommend these and the sight word fiction set. Even if they are more expensive, they are definitely worth it!

Yes, I would recommend this product.

Sight word recognition

April 27, 2020 - By gtfrom Florida

Great resource to enhance enjoyment of reading and sight word recognition. I am so grateful to receive this as a gift, as I am frugal and would have been very hesitant to pay so much. I will purchase my next set so my four year old can continue to enjoy reading and recognizing sight words.

Yes, I would recommend this product.

Excellent purchase

December 31, 2019 - By Kathyfrom Independence, MO

These books were recommended by another mother on a detailed review of another 'learn to read' program. I liked the fact that you had a choice of fiction or non-fiction as I felt non-fiction would be more interesting to a 4 1/2 year old grandson. On Christmas day, my son-in-law started one of the books with my grandson and was quite impressed! I was too! I highly recommend.

Easy to Learn

September 28, 2016 - By Psarsfrom Carson CA

This was purchased based upon a recommendation from a high school English teacher. This teacher, who has 2 young children, said that her sons started to read in Kindergarten with the help from these books. These books teach the required site words this age group needs. We bought the books that are non-fiction. The reader is not only learning site words, but also the beginning of learning how to read non-fiction at an early age. This purchase is well worth every penny. My son cannot get enough of them. Looking forward to the next level.

Yes, I would recommend this product.

Good Reading Tools

October 10, 2015 - By momjfrom CT

We love having these books for our kindergartener. They are very helpful. We like the Non fiction with real pictures. The only part we don't like is the pictures in the sentences for the tougher words not in their level. We feel the book picture is enough to support the decoding without having the additional picutures in the sentece. I would rather have the words the same size as the rest of the sentence.

Yes, I would recommend this product.
