These books was really good for my 3 year old to read. It honed her reading skills. The short sentences and pictures made it engaging. Sight words are presented in a manner that is not boring.

These books are easy to hold by toddlers and pictures are engaging so reading is fun.

This book is perfect getting little ones familiar with sight words so when they start kindergarten it will be easy to read. Has nice big pictures that goes along the words and story.

These are a favorite of my students. They love the picture support and the books are very durable.

I bought this series of books for my granddaughter and she is enjoying them very much. She has this wonderful smile when she reads one, that says, I did it, I read a book! They are short, colorful and perfect for her.

As a retired school teacher and homeschooling my 6 year old grandson, I decided to order the level 2 of this series. It is perfect for those children who have a start in reading (sounds and some words) because it is not overwhelming but continues to support old learning and slowly introduce new words. I am looking forward to ordering the next set. It is also a good reinforcement to the program issued by the school district. The books are short but still have a story. I can reinforce characters, setting and plot.

I bought these for my kindergartner who's entering a first grade remote learning situation. I was nervous regarding the long school absence (march through september). These short books introduce or remind the child of learned sight words. The sentences are short and repetitive, and unknown words are accompanied by pictures with the word printed underneath to assist with decoding. Sometimes my child will read one book, sometimes more, but hes gained back his reading confidence.

I am a retired Kindergarten teacher. I used products from Lakeshore throughout my teaching career and I was never disappointed in the quality of these products. I ordered this set of Non-fiction readers for my 5 year old grandson. I had previously ordered both a Level 1 and 2 of the Fiction readers for him as I have been working with him throughout the closure of his Montessori school. We both love the books and he is so proud of his reading! These books offer a wonderful way for beginning readers to practice their sight words and feel like they are reading real books! Thanks for once again providing a quality product to make learning fun!

I just bought these and have not used them yet but they feel very sturdy. The covers are a thicker cardboard and the pages are like cardstock. Im hoping these hold up over the years. The illustrations are colorful and captivating. Cant wait to use them!

These leveled readers give the perfect balance of sight words and picture cues for beginning readers. She wants to read them over and over. I highly recommend this series.

I purchased Lakeshore Fiction Level 1 readers for my grandson a few months ago. The readers were so successful that I purchased the Level 2 set for his fourth birthday this week. As a reading teacher/school librarian, I knew exactly what I was looking for. This is the best set I've found. The books hold a child's interest, introduce new words gradually, and repeat and review at the right intervals. I don't think you can go wrong with this set.

I love the books unfortunately they do not hold up. They get used a lot and I have a lot of sets from Lakeshore and I bought sets last year and this year and they keep coming upstapled and they are very expensive. I believe they should hold up better.
