Our skill-building practice journal helps kids develop reading comprehension skills—day by day! Designed to help children meet key standards in grades 1-2, our journal features 35 weeks of daily comprehension activities that encourage children to think critically about what they are reading. Kids read an engaging fiction or nonfiction passage at the beginning of the week, then complete a different activity each day to deepen their understanding of the text. The journal is 76 pages and has a removable answer key in back.

Awesome workbook. My son has a hard time reading at his level and remembering what is being told in a story. This journal has been a great tool and we read a story everyday and do the few questions is has associated with the story. He’s really getting it now!

Good concept

Although the concept is good, my children just weren’t that interested in it. It might have something to do with its structure being to reminiscent of a basic skills test set up.
