Special Education/Autism Support
March 03, 2022 - By Teresa Rodriguezfrom San Dimas, CA
I love these new puzzle kits to help expand our homeschooling collection on building phonemic awareness. One of our goals in working on puzzles so this help contribute towards that goal. Before these puzzles, we struggled with using worksheets and laminated cards to isolate the sounds with our homeschooling little one. Once we introduced these puzzles along with other Lakeshore tools to snap on the letters, everything became more exciting and he wanted to do the work. Our need for multisensory support is very much supported with this kit along with the others in the set. Thank you Lakeshore for continuing to provide our homeschooling needs and staying up to date with the changes with educational/academic research on reading skills. We love you guys.
Yes, I would recommend this product.

Sometimes a little hard to spell the rest
February 10, 2012 - By HandsOnHomeschoolMomfrom Salem, OR
The digraphs seem to be the easy part of these puzzles. Sometimes the kids need help with spelling the rest of the word, since these puzzles include some with silent e, an r controlled vowel, and the mb in thumb. I prefer a little more controlled skill set to focus on. That said, my kids work through them enthusiastically with a few helps, and they do the job.
