These letters have worked great during my small group phonics and reading times. The students are able to practice their sight words and CVC words with them in a hands on way. They have been very helpful.

These very thin (1/16 inch), small (3/4 inch to 7/8 inch), easily movable/slideable phonics magnets are fabulous for teaching reading and spelling and I plan on getting some of the other sets also, but I'm very annoyed that there isn't at least 4 of every letter. There is only 1 of each letter k, q, v, x, y, and z. Two of each letter l and w, and only 3 of each letter f, g, h, j, m, n, and r. I don't understand why they skipped on the letters and didn't just give 4 of every letter, so I don't have to buy 4 sets just to get 4 of each letter? They are very nice and durable though, and I don't see them peeling at all.

I bought these because I wanted some magnetic letters to put on the board during whole group. I felt like that was a great price for $10. I guess you get what you pay for because these letters are so small. I didn't even think they were in the box with the other item I had purchased due to the size. The picture is very misleading because of the fingers used in comparison to the size. Each letter is the size of your finger print! I am trying to figure out how to use them. I can probably have students use them in an independent center activity, but it defeats my purpose for buying them, I am shocked they don't have LARGER magnetic letters like these.
