Read the Description- Books not Included!

We use these sets regularly for retelling some of our favorite stories, and my PreK kiddos love to do that independently. But, they are frankly overpriced for what they are. They are not embroidered, like the other storytelling sets. Just images printed on fabric. And the books are not included. The Eric Carle sets are lovely, but some of the others- The Napping House characters, especially- are rather sloppy and visually unappealing. I feel like I could have done a better job drawing them myself. They don't even resemble the characters in the book, and it is a stretch for my four year olds to make that connection at first. I was really hoping for something more similar to Don and Audrey West's whimsical drawings. Or at least the same hair color and clothing. I would buy them again, but only at a 25% discount or more. They are not worth the full price.

Special Education/Autism Support

Everyone can use props to help with storytelling. Our homeschooling needs are well met with this multi-sensory storytelling kit. We work on concepts of print with the books, vocabulary, reading, singing, and more. The props help us enhance all of the different components of our activities and can be washed easily. When we are done reading we try to use the props to retell the story, describe the characters, and create our own story. We use them in our vocabulary lessons and match the props to the words or practice tossing them in a basket as we recite the parts of the story. The fun and creativity is limitless. Great tools for any early learning classroom and special education classroom.

I got feed back from the providers who are using this and they thought it came with the books as pictured, they were disappointed to find out they did not come with the books and that they had to find books else where. It does state when ordering that the books are sold separately. Who really reads all details these days. Other than that love the products.
