My son was reading these books in no time. I really love lakeshore learning! You guys have the best tools to keep little ones entertained and thriving.

This is an excellent hands on approach to teaching phonemic awareness.

A good set for beginning readers, words and letter sounds are repeated across those 5 folders. However, I do hope they may have more variety in the words and phonics.

Granddaughter struggling to read and crying that she could not do it, quickly reading the books in this kit after completing the activities. I love the tactile cards and fine motor pieces that address multiple modalities of learning.

My daughter-in-law sent me a video of my grandson "reading" his book; he was so excited and proud of himself. He'll turn 5 this month. My DIL is a teacher and thinks the books are very good.

The process of this set is beautiful. My 5 year old wasn't grasping phonics and would get very frustrated and shut down. His second time trying the 1st book steps he read the book. It's repetitive so some of it was memorization but it got him to see why sounding out the word works and what he can accomplish. He's so proud of himself and is wanting to do more schoolwork. This,, might be the best thing I've added to my homeschool library!

My son rec'd for his 4th b-day. We went through the steps and he read his first book on his b-day! He works on spelling the 3 letter words on his own, then he'll bring me the book so I can hear him read. It's increasing his confidence and enjoyment with spelling and reading. Highly recommend for a 3-5 year old!

My son has really enjoyed using this set to reinforce and learn his letters, sight words, and reading skills. I have tried several computer programs with him and Hooked-on Phonics but nothing has motivated him as much as this little set. He enjoys the letter-to-picture puzzle matches which offer a second option for success in case he can't remember the letter sound he can still make the match by fitting in the right pieces together on his own. The word cards with letter tiles for building a word opened his eyes to breaking down the individual sounds of a word. The color coding of vowels and consonants also gave him clues to help build the words. He also appreciates the feeling of progress as he moves from one color coded volume to the next. I am so glad I purchased this and it has been a good supplement to our other homeschool materials.

This set is awesome! The different activities connected to each book make it a more interactive and fun experience for my son. I have him do the activities in the order listed on the box and while he's reading the book, I have him point out each sight word on each page to make sure he recognizes the words in the text. This set is not only fun, but a great way to connect with your child!
