This is a well constructed step stool. It's mainly made for stationary placement. There are no locking casters or lockable wheels. The finish is smooth so no fear of blisters. It is easy to clean.It is heavy but will last for years.

This stool is perfect for our 3 year olds. Its sturdy and the kids feel safe with the sides to hold onto. Definitely a great purchase for our preschool.

I love these steps

The step stool we purchased was built well. The only down side was the stool was not high enough, for some toddlers, in reaching the sink faucet.

We got this for our 22 month old because all the step stools in the stores were made of plastic and either tipped over when he stood on the edge or were too low for him to reach the faucet. Other wooden ones online did not have side rails, traction strips (the ones on these are the next best thing to duct tape!), were too narrow and seemed likely to tip, or were too steep. This one addressed all those concerns and was built like a tank. In fact, it's become it's own source of entertainment for our little guy! The only drawback is that it. is. GIGANTIC!
