I haven't ordered this but as a warning, some toddlers might not like the scorpion and butterfly one if they are scared of insects. Those are actually Real Scorpions and a Real butterfly in these even though the bugs are not Live and Moving (freakout moment).

This item is a great hit in my scince area. The kids enjoy being able to grasp the item by themselves and share their thoughts with their classmates.

We purchased these for the light table in our children's room. In a public library, items are usually well loved and roughed up. These specimen viewers are a huge hit with the kids and have held up well. No scratches or breaks. Kids love to use them with the light table.

These are beautiful and great for little hands and easy cleaning!

Viewers seem sturdy. I thought that I would be able to put other things in them. I'm not dissapointed though because it makes them safer for little ones.

Very disappointing. I thought they would be like a magnifying glass but they are really worthless!

The quality of how is made seem durable to be handle by toddlers. The samples are so cool even for older kids. I wish they have different sets with other samples. Great Item.
