Alphabet Folder Games

These are very, very basic alphabet games; primarily for children still learning to identify the letter names. I expected a little more variety and challenge with regard to letter sounds. The highlight of this folder seems to be Dogwalk. However, some of the pictures are not very obvious for children or adults; examples include the ocelot and the Jeep. Ocelot is not commonly provided as an example of the short O in most other learning materials. I recommend possibly using an octopus instead. Jeep is a brand name and most children of this age are not familiar with Jeeps unless their family owns one. A more common example of the J sound would be a jar. Thank you.

Perfect center

These are excellent for small group and centers. These are a great way for students to match lower case to uppercase, and sounds. They have a variety of different activities which kids can choose and go off and play with a partner. I love these!

Great for one on one and independent practice

I use these with students that need extra help. They use them one on one with a tutor. They're fun and colorful and my students enjoy using them. They could also be used independently. My only complaint is all the pieces are so small and could be easily lost.

Great for extra practice

For beginning of the year, kindergarteners, this is a great purchase. They love these games, enjoy working in partnerships to play, and they love all the games. They're really great!

10 amazing little games

I originally bought this for my 4 year old to work on letter identification to bridge into basic phonics skills. He enjoys the games but they are honestly a little too easy for him. My two year old (who is super bright) is loving the challenge and has mastered about half of these games after a month of practice. We play with these games daily for 15-20 minutes in the mornings and evenings. They are nicely made, well organized and pre-cut. I love that there are 10 games, so it’s great for variety and sharing doesn’t have to be an issue. I am definitely going to buy more of these in the future.
