Conversation Training

March 05, 2017 - By SPEDTVI from Washington State

It might be good to include about 5 blank cards for educators to write topics especially relevant for their students. For instance, I would include issues around my students who have difficulties starting conversations due to their blindness and difficulties explaining to people the sorts of support they need and don't need. I appreciate the motivating aspect of the activity for my Kingergarten student and first grade student. They are eager to select a discussion topic (one of two cards pulled out) and are learning improved conversational methods.

Conversations!

December 23, 2016 - By Gami from SF, CA

Haven't delivered this one yet...maybe New Year's gift! I am sure this will enhance my 4 yr old granddaughter's development (although she already has the vocabulary of an early teen) as well as helping her little sister (2 1/2 yr old) to develop since because big sis talks so much, why should she??!!

Good conversation starter

December 30, 2015 - By grandma123 from West Lafayette, IN

This was good to start a conversation but my only complaint is that there were lots of questions referencing their school day, but my 4-year old only goes to preschool. Some were a little old for her. However, she enjoys answering the questions.

Versatile

September 21, 2015 - By TrishaC from Thousand Oaks, CA

Can be used to engage students in peer interactions, target pragmatic goals (turn taking, facing speaking partner, topic maintenance, relevancy in responses, verbal exchanges) as well as for articulation practice in structured activities. The box is attractive and motives even older students.

Yes, I would recommend this product.

Great way to generate conversation!

August 26, 2015 - By Nanajane from Carson CA

I love this! I bought this to use with my grandkids ranging in age from 6 to 9. They love it too. I've learned a lot about them from asking these questions and they're really opening up to their feelings. It's also started group conversations that include the adults in the family. Very worthwhile.
