While this would be a great adfition to a classroom, it is also fun for home use. We have enjoyed leaving letters inside for our grandsons to find. This is a wonderful pre-reading activity to encourage alphabet and sight word recognition.

This is a fun mailbox to use in a preschool classroom.

Perfect way to leave little messages for your child. Not only will you make them feel special, they will take an interest in learning to read.

I had a big pick up order to pick up while I had my 4 year old with me. He walked into the store, saw the mailbox and was fixated on it. It is a sturdy mailbox and the sky is the limit of the imagination how to play with it.

We added this mailbox to our writing center and the kids have tons of fun with it. Whether they are writing their own letters or mailing ones we've mocked up for them, the mailbox gets a lot of use.

The mailbox is heavy duty and has lasted a bit of abuse already

I wanted to get a mailbox for our Mystery Mail at our classroom circle time. This mailbox is PERFECT! It's such a great size, very durable, and can be used in so many different ways (dramatic play, writing letters to each other, etc.)!

The 3-year-old, 5-year-old and 6-year-olds all started playing with this mailbox right away -although none of them were playing mail carriers. The older boys decided there was treasure in it while the 3-year-old, whose present it was, wanted to put his trucks in it over and over again. The mailbox is sturdy and well-constructed for all of these uses. I will say I was disappointed that the mailbox didn't contain any of the play mail that is featured in the picture, making just the Mailbox feel a bit overpriced at $40. And yet, as I say, all the kids loved it.

I bought this to be used in my classroom as a real mailbox. We get letters from parents, other classrooms, mascots, delivered in it. We also receive stickers and new materials through it. The children love to send letters back. It's very well made and I'm sure that if my kids were using it the whole day, it would still be good as new.

With its exceptional quality you really cannot get a pretend play mailbox better than this.

To help overcome the geographic distance between a niece and nephew, I send them postcards from my travels (work and personal). I have also gotten their grandparents to do it too. This is a fun way for them both to receive their mail, but also store all the things that matter to them on a given day. I just hope their parents remember to look in it if things 'disappear.'

I purchased this for my classroom and I love the size and color. It is very durable and student-friendly. The only drawback I can see is that the base isn't very stable so it sometimes tips forward when students pull open the door.
