Great Science Fun For All

July 09, 2020 - By JoAnne Saundersfrom St.Thomas,USVI

I became acquainted with this wonderful product several years ago, and have used them with each group of student club member each year ever since. Watching the eyes of my young Explorers as the beads begin to expand immediately, and the looks of wonder on the faces of teachers and parents as their children marvel at the formation of the marbles, is well worth the cost. Now that many students have been forced to stay at home due to Covid 19, I ordered more of the marbles , demonstrated the experiment on Facebook, and have sent out tiny packets of the marbles beads to children so they can perform the experiment in their homes for their families. This is a fantastic way to combine colorful art with science!

Yes, I would recommend this product.

Fun!

May 05, 2020 - By Danafrom Philadelphia

My 4-year-old daughter loves playing with the magic water marbles. The only reason I didn't give this product 5 stars is because it says on the label that you can dry them and re-use them. There aren't instructions for the drying, and they have been sitting out on my porch (on a cookie sheet) for 2 weeks and are starting to shrink.

Yes, I would recommend this product.

These take way too long to enlarge. Too easy for little fingers to pop!

Needs accessory

April 06, 2017 - By AymBaysidefrom Bayside, NY

I bought one clear marble and one multi-color. First of all, it was extremely fascinating to watch the marble GROW. Children loved the idea that the marbles can absorb the water and "seeing" them expand in size was the best part of the whole experiment. However, it was very difficult to find proper accessories to compliment this center. Regular sand and water accessories was too small. If you leave the marbles in the water, it can explode into pieces. Clean up is difficult too. If you leave the lid on the sand and water table, the marble can get moldy very soon. Classroom teachers should scoop them out of the tub and rinse them everyday. Thereafter, leave the lid open to air it out. The clear marble can expand up to twice as big as the colored ones. That was unexpected and it could get as big as a quarter. Colored ones can get as big as a nickel. It is reusable if you scoop them out and let them air dry. It took almost a whole week of them to start shrinking. At the end of the 2nd week, I just threw them out. I can't stand having them sitting around in the classroom.

Yes, I would recommend this product.
