My 3 and 7 year old both love this. The heavy solid wood holder holds steady with the pulling of the tape and tears well as well.

I use this in conjunction with the colored tape. It's the best solution I've found for preschoolers to use tape independently. So far, no one has successfully tried to unscrew the rods. This is a permanent fixture in my art center.

That is awesome when you want your kids to make open ended craft material. I use to leave in on my shelf and my son used it many times to makes 2D or 3D crafts. His creativity had no limits. It would have been nice if it had dividers to keep each colored tape apart from the others. Some may like it exactly this way. :)
