These little books are perfect for teaching early reading. I was a former Reading Recovery teacher and wanted to find books at Level 1 to work with my grandson. I found exactly what I was looking for. They use repetitive sentence patterns, basic vocabulary sight words, and colorful pictures for visual cues. I'm happy with this set.

Our learning center recommend these for our beginner reader. He has excelled and always looks forward to reading these books. Since they use them in his daycare having them at home helps re-enforce what he learns during the week.

I love the books! Supportive colorful pictures and repetitive text with sight words in context. I was hoping that there were more books in the set with just one or two words per page for that very young reader. I was a first grade teacher of struggling readers using reading recovery techniques and know the importance of those elements. I have a four year old grandson who is ready to read and these added books would be great for him as an introduction to the reading process.
