I got these for my daycare children to build up hand strength . They love using these.

During small group we always have a fine motor station. This has been a nice add-on to use for students working on the tripod grip.

These were so perfect for the beginning of the year for my kindergartners who are working on pencil grip!

These tongs work well for typically developing students. I was hoping to find something that worked as well for neurodiverse students. I will keep practicing with them to help increase students' fine motor control.

I had a set of these that came with the Gumball Grab game I got from Lakeshore. These tongs were excellent for teaching hands the correct position for writing with a pencil! Worked for kids who were left and right handed, as well as kids who are still developing their grips. So, I decided to order a few more sets that I could use for other fine motor activities. I cannot believe it, but they have actually improved them from the first incarnation. The ones they sell now are amazing! As you can see in the picture, there is now a little cup that helps direct the children's fingers into the exact right position. Such a simple change, but honestly a difference of night and day! When you use a triangular pencil, the transition from these tongs to the writing instrument is so natural and easy to explain! EXCELLENT product!
