This set is great. Shows some good basic woodworking skills. My 8 year old loved it and was happy to finally be able to use a hammer. We homeschool so this was a perfect.

My grandson was able to assemble these project almost entirely by himself!! He gained a lot of confidence and is ready to continue!!

The idea is wonderful but the children were not able to hammer the nails in without a lot of help. It was even so difficult for me that I just gave up on the nails. The wood glue holds it together pretty well. My son loved each item produced which are all sturdy.

This was given to my then 4 year old son, who built it together with his dad. It took a lot of direction from an adult, but it was a good bonding activity. The kit is good quality, the pieces are solid, nothing was missing. My son had a fun time painting the shelf after it was constructed. It now holds our tonie figuring collection.

My five year old twin boys each received one of these sets for Christmas. They have enjoyed working on each project. They definitely need help from mom or dad at this age, but the projects have been a lot of fun!

I was so excited about this kit for my young tool enthusiast. Unfortunately, every step requires gluing one or two pieces, and the glue has to sit clamped for 30 minutes. So it's not really a project you can sit down to work on it will take hours and hours of one tiny bit of work at a time. Because of this, it was too frustrating for my family.

Our nephew who is 6 was very excited to get this for Christmas from us. We got it on sale and it's definitely worth it. He can't wait to get started. Looks sturdy.

My son has loved tools for as long as I can remember. This kit was a great bonding experience for my 4 year old and his dad. They both had such a wonderful time building it together. The instructions were easy to follow and having everythibg precut ready to go made assembly a breeze.

Our 7 year old loves it! We/he made the toolbox the first day he received it. Clear instructions. He also received another woodworking kit from Lakeshore and used the tools from that set to build in this one. Highly recommend.
