I bought this for my 5-year-old and he loves them.

We love to put these in a bag and carry them along for tag along toys. We hide the pieces and then our toddler puts the animals together as they find them to make silly animals. It's a good travel toy since the pieces are big enough not to get lost.

We have had these toys for a few years and they are as good as new. My now six year old loved to mix and match them, and now my one year old is enjoying them as well. The magnets are a decent strength, able to hold together fairly well. My one year old trys to play with them and they come apart, leaving me constanly putting the pieces back together for him.
