Great toy for kids of all ages and even adults. My son received this as a Christmas Gift and he has been playing with it non-stop. He's 3.5 and understands the concept. I think even younger kids will learn enjoy this as they figure out how to stack. The logs are real wood and have slight variations on the color to provide that log look. The pieces fit well with each other and are pretty sturdy when built. Overall a good toy for creativity and LOG-ical thinking!

I got these when my son was turning 6 or 7 I think, and although he enjoyed building simple structures he didn't really get how to make what he wanted. That said, I can totally see the draw of this set for older kids, or those who don't get frustrated sticking to simple structures until they understand how the more complex ones are designed. We have a toddler in the mix too, so we didn't get to build much before things got destroyed! We had to get a storage basket for this, so would have loved a more self-contained storage tub to be the packaging for this set. Also would have liked a few more green and red (roof/chimney) pieces. I look forward to bringing it out again as the kiddos get just a bit older. Excellent quality from Lakeshore though, as always.

Our grandchildren have enjoyed this set. It's been a pleasure to watch them progress from seeking support to build to more independent play. Glad we purchased!

Can't go wrong with a log builder for any child who likes to build. My son loves it.

My kids love making Forts and this took it to the next level. They played with them every day for almost a month and still get them out every couple weeks and stay engaged. Very durable and great quality!

This is a great product during center time. My students did require some initial demonstrations to become familiar with how to use the logs. I'm finding that some students build and those at a lower functioning level use the logs as drumsticks

Bought this for my 4 yr old grandson, he's into building things using whatever he can find. With everything being made cheaper and faster nowadays the high quality and selection of the pieces in this set really surprised me. Each piece is cut from real wood, very smooth and well done.
