Kids love these scissors for play dough. A great way for them to learn how to use scissors.
We're reserving these scissors to try at age 6 since they were too large for our younger kids and there's still a risk of cuts. Till then, we'll stick with the smaller, safer scissors from the Dough Designer Kit by Lakeshore.
These scissors are great practice for xutting with playdough! We love them!
I have purchased other brands of dough scissors in the past, however, they did not last long and always came apart. Lakeshore products are durable and never disappoints.

These scissors are safe for preschool children to use and work on fine motor skills.
These are perfect for our playdough center! I have ordered these types of scissors from other places and they always end up breaking! These are sturdy and well made for little 3 year olds!

I love these play dough scissors for my classroom. They are such a great way to work on scissor skills and help kids to feel successful and gain confidence, all while building fine motor strength. Win win!

We call these our safe scissors because you can teach the young ones to cut without being concerned about them cutting things they shouldn't be cutting. They are a great way to teach them how to hold scissors properly and cut play dough.

These scissors are a wonderful tool to help kids strengthen their hands and help them develop scissor skills! Using scissors with dough helps children remember to hold the item that they are cutting rather than use only one hand, as they often do when cutting paper. Kids love to cut up little pieces of dough and pretend to make food with the scissors. I have only had mine about a month, but other teachers have told me that they have used the same dough scissors in the classroom for a good ten years and they have still held up! I think it was worth the investment, and they came quite quickly. I'm also glad that I don't have to wash off the scissors each time they are used to avoid corrosion on the blade- because there ISN'T a blade! The entire scissor is plastic only.
