I used these magnetic drawing boards as a public librarian. Kids Pre-K through 3rd grade learn to grip a magnetic tool to pull the beads up to the top of the board. It makes a satisfying click when it reaches the top. If the tool is too difficult to hold, an adult can make a pattern for a child, then they can use their fingers to push the metal balls back down! Believe me you will need more than one for your learning space!

We just bought this Magnetic Drawing Board today and it is a hit for sensory play! They can play with it for hours!

I had Lakeshore Bucks expiring that I wanted to use and this looked like a neat product! So, I decided to order it. When it arrived, I immediately opened the box and began playing with it. My husband looked over at me, shook his head, and smiled. Hey, he knew what he was getting into when he married an ECE teacher! But the real test was bringing it to lunch with a friend who has a three year old son. He absolutely loved it! This is perfect to keep kids busy in restaurants! Not only is it lightweight, it's pretty compact, and most importantly, pretty quiet (although it does make some slight noise when the metal beads are pushed in). The magnet in the pen is super strong and pulls up the metal beads with ease. It's super fun for both kids and adults alike. (I even caught my husband playing with it yesterday!) I am in between teaching jobs right now, but once I am back teaching, I cannot wait to bring this in for them and let the kids have fun with it. I love toys that encourage creativity and thinking and this toy does both! I highly recommend this product!
