I was very excited about these books-I thought they would be perfect for my first graders who LOVE to write stories. They arrived in the bright colors shown, but they were definitely smaller than I had anticipated. The kids loved them anyways! I would say these would work well for older ages, but maybe not so much for kindergartners or younger. There are no lines inside for writing.

My daughter loves making mini books so I thought she'd be thrilled with these. She likes them, but they're a little smaller than she likes; by the time she draws something there's no room for her big, spiky writing and vice versa. Even so, these are great for when you don't have the time or space to make your own.
