My son was very excited about this pen because of the noises. However, it is never consistent. Out of 10 times selecting the right answer, it will mark it wrong 8 or 9 times. Yes, the batteries are in correct and brand new. Yes, we're holding it straight up. Yes, we're pressing in the center of the oval. I don't know many kids who need this that could follow all the strict parameters for this thing to have a chance at working.

My grandchildren are really enjoying the challenge of practicing with these cards. Getting immediate feedback from the pen encourages them to keep trying to improve their skills.

This will be great for hands on learning for my grandson who likes learning,makes him feel more in control

Both of my homeschooled kids have used the Power Pen to strengthen their recall on number facts. An excellent teaching supplement.

The power pen series which includes this pen and other materials (sold separately) such as multiplication cards, reading comprehension cards, addition cards, reading skill cards and more is excellent for interactive learning for all ages. My children who are 5,8, 9 and 12 years old, all use it and feel motivated to continue practicing. As a parent it fills me with joy when my kids smile because they got the answer right. The power pen lights up green when the answer is correct and makes sounds that can be adjusted to let them know they got the answer right. If they get it wrong it lights up red, which motivates them to try harder to get the answer correct.

Th power pens are great to use with the math packs and the phonics packs. My 2nd grade students really enjoy using these and are able to use them independently.

My grand daughter has made progress with her math facts using this wand. It’s fun to use too.

Awesome pen for learning. I love how many different sets there are that you can purchase. The back was very hard to unscrew.

The pens are great. They are necessary for the Power Pen activity cards. I think they should be included in the box with the interactive cards. I know it would cost more, however, the cards and not interactive without the pens. The print on the website is very small where it says the pens are not included. I bought a large number of games and then had to purchase the pens.

Love this pen for learning math facts. My daughter (6) has been enjoying her pen and learning her math facts while having fun.

I keep this Power Pen/activity in my writing center. The children LOVE playing with this activity. It is durable and great, hands-on learning activity!

The first day she spent an hour practicing addition and subtraction and only stopped because it was dinnertime! Since then she hasn't complained about practicing yet because she likes the instant feedback. The only reason it gets a 4 is that if she isn't fully on the dots on the cards, it shows and sounds the wrong answer even if she was correct.
